Diana Delmonte
EnglishDiana is an interspecies communicator and remote viewer. She has authored three books, one forthcoming, and two oracle decks, and is the founder of the Daya Animal Communication Academy. With a passion for quantum physics, she weaves it all together, guiding people worldwide with animal sessions, quantum healing, courses, and spiritual mentoring. While Diana has worked extensively with behavioral issues like aggression, trauma, and inappropriate urination, and has been sought worldwide for lost animal cases, what she’s most passionate about now is helping people connect with their animals in spirit, sharing their animals' messages and purpose, providing closure, and helping their people find peace.
My Story
Why I Do This Work
Animals have opened my heart, taught me about impermanence, shown me patience, acceptance, forgiveness, and deep compassion. My cat family taught me animal communication and drastically changed my entire life: my career direction and spiritual path. How could I not do this work?
Childhood sensitivity and eating disorders, followed by decades immersed in art and exploration of consciousness and dreams supported by Jung, and a lifelong self-inquiry after the early death of my mom, later evolved into a life of animal communication, inner work, and spiritual practice.
Initially, I was a hardcore skeptic, and although I was fairly young and eagerly open-minded, working in a metaphysical bookstore and reading everything I could get my hands on, I drew a heavy line through animal communication. I thought it was absurd. However, in my mid-forties, on a Sunday afternoon, something as mundane as my pen running out of ink changed my reality forever. I was about to enter my partner’s music studio when I heard my cat’s thoughts: Look out! I'm down here!
Years later, my cat Ku Ku's tragically sudden death catapulted me into communicating with animals for a living. I wanted to deepen human and animal understanding and awareness. Mostly, I wanted to learn to listen to animals and express their feelings, because I hadn't heard Ku Ku. His death woke me up to the life I was meant to live, drastically changed me, and placed my self-absorbed artist’s life aside.
When we have animals in our lives, we experience unconditional love and forgiveness, and our compassion naturally expands. Don't we all aspire to be more like the animals who live with us? Wanting to enrich children’s lives, I began introducing intuition and telepathy at summer art camps, while teaching art, Kundalini Yoga, and meditation to thousands of children in schools throughout Los Angeles.
Over the years, my work has taken other directions. Alongside teaching, I’ve created two oracle decks—one for grieving the loss of an animal—that are available as a free “pick a card” resource on my website. More recently, my practice has expanded into intuitive readings using the cards, both for people and animals, offering deeper ways to receive guidance, healing, and connection.
I’ve also been a vegan and spiritual activist for over thirty-five years, and my long practice in Zen, Vipassana, and Tibetan Buddhism—taking vows of compassion and ahimsa continues to shape my daily life and guide my work with animals. I believe years of sitting in silence during meditation, art, and writing opened my ears to hear the silent language of animals.
