About Amy

I work with people who have a specific health concern — chronic illness, unexplained symptoms, reproductive issues — and feel like conventional medicine has taken them as far as it can. My doorway is always the body. A rash, a thyroid problem, persistent fatigue — I start there, and then we follow the thread: what's going on energetically, emotionally, in the beliefs you carry. I'm low-key about the spiritual side of this work — think less guru, more herbal witch in the woods — but I do go deep when that's what's needed. You'll leave with tools you can actually use.

An Orykl Session

What to expect

We start with what brought you in — something specific, something physical, something stuck. From there, the session moves through layers: what's happening in the body, what emotions or beliefs might be feeding it, where energy has gone quiet or tight. There's muscle testing, there's Reiki running underneath all of it, and at some point we'll move into a guided journey — slow, inward, close to something that feels like dreaming. It's a lot of ground to cover, but most people come out the other side looking a little stunned — like their body just said something they'd been waiting to hear.

The longer story

How Amy got here

For most of my life, I didn't have words for what was happening in my own body. Food intolerances I couldn't identify, pain that came and went without explanation, a sensitivity to other people's states that I didn't understand and couldn't manage. I just lived with it — until I started finding my way into alternative medicine and, slowly, into this work. I came to energy healing in 2002, after a massage teacher recognised something in me and named it. What followed has been entirely self-directed — years of learning by doing, by working on myself, by developing practices that actually changed things I'd been carrying for a long time. Depression, chronic pain, digestive issues, insomnia, osteoporosis — I've moved through all of it using the same tools I now bring to sessions. I also contracted COVID in the first wave and dealt with long-haul symptoms through multiple variants. That experience gave me a very specific and practical understanding of how the body can get hijacked — and what it takes to come back from that. What I've built, over all of it, is a way of working that starts with the physical and traces everything back from there. The body is always speaking. A skin condition, a thyroid problem, a pattern of miscarriages — these aren't just medical facts, they're part of a larger story. My job is to help someone see that story whole, and to hand them tools so they can keep reading it long after our session ends. I live in rural Alaska. I work with people who are ready to stop managing symptoms and start understanding them — and who don't need the work to be glamorous to trust that it's real.
