My Story
For most of my life, I didn’t realize that the discomfort I was feeling wasn’t just the way life had to be. I experienced a long list of health issues from childhood into adulthood—food intolerances, environmental sensitivities, chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, and a range of physical symptoms that made it difficult to function in the world. At the time, I didn’t know that I was an undiagnosed empath, and I struggled to make sense of why I felt so bad.
In 2002, while training to become a massage therapist, I was introduced to energy work. That was the moment my journey truly began. I had always known there was something more going on with my body and my emotions, but energy work helped me see the deeper connections. I started studying different energy-work models, looking for answers to my own health challenges. Over time, I learned how to manage and heal my issues, from chronic illnesses to emotional blocks. And in that process, I discovered that I had developed skills that could help others, too.
For years, I dealt with a range of health conditions, including depression, anxiety, insomnia, osteoporosis, and Metabolic Syndrome. I even experienced Covid-19 multiple times, including long-hauler symptoms. Through it all, I kept turning to energy work, especially Reiki, which became a foundational part of my healing. Reiki helped me recover from serious illness and gave me a sense of peace and well-being that I hadn’t known before. Today, I no longer deal with many of the symptoms that once plagued me, and I’m deeply grateful for that.
The experiences I’ve had with my own health have shaped how I approach life. I know what it’s like to feel disconnected from well-being, and I know how powerful it can be to finally find a way to heal. That’s why I became a Reiki master—I wanted to help others recover their well-being, just as I had. Along the way, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how interconnected our physical, emotional, and spiritual health really is.
When I’m not practicing Reiki, I love to explore creativity in different forms. I enjoy writing, teaching, and creating activities that bring people together. Dancing, singing, playing guitar, and being in nature are just some of the ways I like to stay connected to myself and the world around me. I also love to spend time with my family and pets, who bring so much joy and light into my life.
My journey has been one of learning, healing, and discovering the power of energy to transform our lives. I’m grateful for everything that has brought me to where I am today and look forward to continuing to share the practices that have helped me heal with others.
